Plumcake with chocolate chips. A tasty and fragrant idea for breakfast, with grated orange zest and Cointreau. I like very much the combination Orange-dark chocolate and use it often, in both sweet and savory in. The mild sweet perfume and Cointreau gives this taste a little’ more adult and less cloying than the usual pound cake. Obviously, if you prepare this dessert for your kids, forget the liquor and put some’ vanilla or just leave the scent of orange and chocolate.
Alternatively, you can use a doughnut mold and glaze the sweet, For example,, with chocolate. Or, you can use a normal cake tin, cut the cake in half and stuff it with orange jam, to enrich your breakfast taste. The trick to not getting chocolate chips to the bottom? It's so easy... Just pass them lightly into the flour and mix as little as possible, just two quick turns of spoon. When it starts getting cold I love waking up with the idea to turn the oven, prepare a simple cake, like this plum cake with chocolate chips, and have all day the House that smells good.
