Do you travel

“Travels and experiences” It is a section in which I speak of what I do, I see, how I feel. Both for my work as a journalist for both personal passion, I travel a lot. I move in Italy, in town, small and large countries, in the countryside, Mountain, for cellars and agri-food companies. I often stay at the restaurant, because I like to try new things and learn from the chef what makes them great. I'm a compulsive manic excellent purchases, always looking for a new product, a niche of made in Italy still little known, a traditional ingredient to use in an innovative way. In short, I see, I try and I experience so many things and I always new ideas in mind, too many.

I then thought about putting in a blog section where we can give you the assurance that what you find here (a product, a restaurant, a company or a suggestion for a weekend) There is why is the result of my own experience, engaging and obviously I liked. For this reason, There is a kind of in-depth review-even products of wine and Italian food excellence and know that these products look for them, I buy them and try them at my expense, and that what I write is independent and unrelated to any 'business relationship'. If I happen to tell you something to entertain business relations, It will only be because I share goals and purpose. And I will tell you clearly. I hope you find you, as it happened to me, the treasures to be discovered.

Dear Ada, are now months that I follow your blog and I acquire expert advice that enrich and stimulate my simple but passionate desire to learn the art of cooking….
I always follow your reviews, some local concern that familiar dwelling in Cagliari, and in view of your experience and knowledge I wanted to try the House Marmida, you've reviewed a while ago, involving also other friends that relied on me.
Unfortunately the experience was truly mortifying….. the dishes were plain ill-assorted, the care that you were much lauded in the choice of raw materials totally lacking: the wine was cloudy and poor quality white and Red……When we asked the “Chef”, which is shyly approached to order lunch, to change the wine which proposed guests, the laconic reply was “I don't drink a lot and then…….” We didn't even know then. In addition we couldn't say. An experience to behold, and at this point I wonder who was in the kitchen when you went to eat at home Marmida….. Maybe you?

Hello Francesca, I am very sorry and I wonder what happened in the kitchen. As I wrote in the review, make a creative cuisine in a place like that where it operates Pani is very complicated (I guess you know better than I do), and understanding that even in my case some dishes were creative and cared for and other, as the BBQ, not in tone with the rest (albeit with premium ingredients), I found him technique and ambition. Among other things, The loaves will do in a few days, an evening at 4 hands with Alberto Sanna (Campidano Samassi, other young very promising) with an attractive and creative menu. Can I ask if, When making a reservation, you specified that you wanted to taste something special and not the traditional cuisine? And may I ask if the quality of raw materials and items, beyond creativity evidently missing, It was disappointing? You know, I don't often imbalance and this guy I follow for a while, I am very sorry that you had this experience. Thanks for your estimate against me, but for this I regret even more. ADA
