Gyeran Bap coreano

Today the Gyeran Bap coreano, also called Egg rice: It is a quick and easy Korean recipe, widely used both for breakfast and as a snack or quick meal. Is’ based on steamed rice, simply seasoned with sesame oil and soy sauce, garnished with fried eggs, Sesame, fresh spring onions and Nori seaweed. Considering the fact that in Asian countries at home there is always rice already cooked ready in the Rice cooker, the preparation of this dish is really fast. Guardate come è semplice da preparare nella VIDEO RECIPE on my YouTube channel.

The bare and basic ingredients could make it consider a trivial dish, but it is not. Soy sauce and sesame oil give Gyeran Bap a special scent. And the fried eggs, stirring dissolve in rice, they are delicious. Now, I fried the eggs in extra virgin olive oil. But frequently in Korea butter is used, that creates a soft cream together with soy and sesame. You can accompany him to the VEGETARIAN SPRING ROLLS, or to GYOZA, Chinese meat ravioli cooked on the griddle, for an Asian-style lunch. Without forgetting the SUSHI homemade.

If you love oriental cuisine, or the little acquaintance but you want to do some experiments, This is the dish for you, because it's simple and good. We come to the cooking rice. I used the classic Chinese bamboo steamer. I put on the bottom of the perforated parchment paper to facilitate the escape of steam. There are also discs, of cotton or perforated paper special on Amazon. I washed the rice and steamed it for about 45 minutes, wetting it every now and then with hot water. You can also cook it in the electric steamer or in a little water, very low heat and covered, so that it cooks in its own steam. Or you can use a rice rich in starch and simply boil it, all’English. And now I wish you good day!

Gyeran Bap coreano

First look at the VIDEO RECIPE where I show myself the procedure for cooking rice. If you have decided to use the classic steamer or the bamboo one you have to use a disc of cotton or perforated paper to prevent the rice from falling inside the holes. Or you can drill countless holes in a sheet of parchment paper to make the steam come out and the rice cooks..

You have to wash the rice the running water and place it in the steamer, then cook covered, making sure that the steam does not disperse, for about 45 minutes or until cooked. If you want to shorten the time a lot, you can simply boil the rice in a little water, covered and over a very low heat, so that cooking absorbs it all.

Finely chop the spring onion, toast the sesame seeds and cut the Nori seaweed into strips.

When the rice is cooked, put it in the bowls and season it with soy sauce and sesame oil. Cook the eggs in a pan with butter or extra virgin olive oil, season with salt and pepper and, if you like intense tastes, blend the eggs with a little soy sauce that will mix with butter. Pour fried eggs over rice, complete with finely chopped spring onion, roasted sesame seeds and Nori seaweed cut into thin strips. Bon appétit!

OPTIONS: you can add condiments to taste. In Korea, the addition of canned meat is widespread (Spam), Sausage, quickly sautéed vegetables in oil or sweet and sour sauces.
