MoMA pizzeria romana

Moma

Today I leave you another good address to eat pizza in Rome. After the grotto of Via Orvieto, I found another much to my taste pizzeria. It is located in via Calpurnio Flame, and it's called Moma. The pizza is Italian, not too high nor too thin. 72 hours levitation and high quality flour, Natural and crushed stone, make light pizza, crisp and fragrant. Excellent quality and ingredients, from tomato sauce, sweet and with aa light and pleasant acidity, to get to the fior di latte mozzarella.

The staff is attentive, present and very courteous, although with some inaccuracies in the days and at peak times (Saturday the pizzeria does two shifts and is always packed out, so reservations required). I tried the super Margherita, with double mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, convincing, and pizza with potatoes, rolled bacon and provolone, very good.

On a second visit I tried the zucchini flowers, anchovies and soft cheese, really tasty and the cheese fries and pepper, I recommend: not too much salt, not too much pepper and spicy note of pecorino matches well with the fries crispy not greasy and well.

pizzamomaNote on the pizza, every two bake cleans the oven, so that you can eat a clean pizza, no ash residues. Also good baking dish of anchovies with endive (7 euros), served with tomato sauce and toast.

Mixed bag instead of the rice balls: Good to Arcangelo Dandini (the famous 'torture', 3 euro), with chicken giblets and extremely crisp breading designed by Dandini, some’ subdued the Roman rice balls, with al dente rice and an excellent sauce, but not hot enough cheese to be melted. The only really jarring note the potato croquette and provolone, where there was a really excessive amount of nutmeg (bonus because I pointed out to the manager and I did not have her pay).

Bargain Prices: 4 pizzas,5 a 9,5 euros, rice balls and croquettes two euro, cheese fries and pepper to 4 €, sweet 4 €. Highly recommended.
