You want to eat authentic Roman? Carbonara, amatriciana, cheese and pepper, Gauthier, tripe, artichokes and alla romana, Meatballs in tomato sauce, oxtail and baby lamb chops? And the inevitable tiramisu? I give you a tip: go By Enzo to 29 in Trastevere, at via dei Vascellari.
The room is very small, a room just; very few dishes, only the classic Roman preparations but well executed, nothing country tourism: major raw materials that enhance the typical products of the territory (Verrigni pasta, eggs of Pai, oil of Vetralla , ricotta cheese sourced locally, Bacon Igp) and dishes all very well executed. The portions are very generous. The bread is homemade with sourdough. The carbonara is textbook, tonnarelli homemade, soft and tasty tripe, as well as the oxtail and meatballs with gravy.
The lamb chops are tender, cooked perfectly. Honest prices: 8 euros the first, seconds between 11 and 15 euro. Is sound and free-range Grandma's kitchen, one that unfortunately, Despite being extremely simple, not easily found in Rome. Highly recommended.
